Discover special restaurant menus, hands-on pasta workshops and inspiring conversations about food, culture and wellbeing. The grand finale, World Pasta Day on 25 October at A Praça, Beato, brings everyone together for chef-led tastings, a lively marketplace, workshops, music and awards.
FROM GRAINS TO TABLE - EMBASSY EVENT

As part of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World and the first edition of Lisbon Pasta Week, From Grains to Table brings together Italian and Portuguese voices at the Embassy of Italy in Lisbon for an open conversation about pasta, food culture, production and wellbeing.
The evening explores the journey from grain to table — from biodiversity, sustainable supply chains and pasta quality to cooking, taste and the role of pasta in a balanced diet. The discussion will also address common questions around grains, carbohydrates and gluten, as well as the relationship between food, lifestyle and wellbeing.
Following the panel and a Q&A with the audience, guests are invited to stay for a convivial buffet and drinks, continuing the conversation around the shared table.

- Monica Caramma, researcher in the field of sustainable food, Chief Sustainable Food Officer and nutrition coach;
- Massimo Mancini, founder of Pasta Mancini (joining remotely);
- Dr. Sara Barreirinhas, nutritionist;
- Dr. Luzia Travado, clinical psychologist specialized in health psychology and psycho-oncology, Professor and researcher at the Champalimaud Clinical and Research Centre;
- Prof. Andrea Decensi, Director of the Breast Department at the Champalimaud Foundation;
This panel will be moderated by Mario Chessa Managing Partner, Chessa Connect | Former Executive Director, NOVA Hospitality & Tourism Platform.

Northern Italian Pasta Workshop - Adults #2

Discover the art of rolling sfoglia by hand!
Roll up your sleeves and explore one of Northern Italy’s most treasured culinary traditions: transforming fresh egg pasta dough into a delicate sheet of sfoglia using a wooden rolling pin.
In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn how to bring flour and eggs together, knead your dough and prepare it for rolling. We’ll then focus on the craft of hand-rolling: positioning your hands, applying even pressure, rotating the dough and gradually working towards a thin, even sheet.
You’ll discover how to judge the dough by touch and develop the movements that make rolling feel more natural, building the confidence to practise this traditional technique at home.
No previous experience is required—just bring your curiosity and enjoy the process!

Get your hands in the dough and discover the traditions of Southern Italian pasta-making in this fun, interactive workshop. Starting with semolina and water, you’ll learn how to bring your dough together, knead it and recognise the right texture before creating three different pasta shapes by hand.
We’ll guide you through the movements and shaping techniques, helping you understand how small changes in pressure and movement give each shape its character.
You’ll leave with practical skills to recreate these shapes at home—and the satisfaction of making fresh pasta from scratch.
