In Santos Populares, Lisbon and other Portuguese cities celebrate the patron saints with street parties, grilled sardines, music, dancing, and lots of beer throughout June — especially on the night of Saint Anthony, when the whole city turns into one big festival.

Santos em Santos is one of Lisbon’s biggest Santos Populares parties, held at the Terrapleno de Santos by the river.
