Treasures - Crowns & Tiaras International Colloquium
Museu Tesouro RealA domingo, 15 nov
In this exciting edition delegates will enjoy two full days of keynote addresses and discussion panels offered by research fellows, history, jewellery and gem experts from major world museums, collections and institutes where royal and imperial crowns, diamond tiaras, and gem-set hat and hair jewels are the protagonists. Delegates will have, at all times, exclusive access to the Portuguese Royal collections that will be closed to the public. An evocation of the 200 years of the exequys of king D. João VI of Braganza Dynasty in Portugal will be also a central aspect of the colloquium, notably the Royal Crown that was made in Brazil for his acclamation as king in 1818.
The famous Portuguese hospitality will be also deeply expressed in the unique catering experience of the coffee breaks and lunch breaks, as well as in the Gala Dinner that was one of the highlights of the first edition at the Royal Palace.Due to the high demand for pre- and post- colloquium activities, a significant plethora of both cultural and jewellery-related tours will be offered this time, to make even more memorable the experience of the delegates in Lisbon.
